Thanks to EU_ProjectDIVA our company TERRA SPATIUM SA have been awarded a new feasibility study and evaluation project, named TraceaChain where we will have the opportunity to investigate the application of Blockchain Technology in Agricultural Supply Chain.
Agricultural Supply Chain is a complex system which is responsible for the circulation of agricultural products in the market. As a registry tool, agrofood traceability systems are important to provide agrofood safety and quality information to stakeholders, local authorities and finally to consumers. The business model is based on a traceability tool as a service which is the traceability platform. Users who could utilize it are primary associated with agriculture, food processing, storage, distribution, reselling and even local authorities. In any case, potential users are all those who indirectly cooperate in the above supply chain. All the stakeholders of the supply chain are potential users. Based on the business model we are developing a service adapted to the needs of the users to increase sustainability and traceability. This aim coincides with a strategic goal of Terra Spatium, through its involvement in research and development programs, to create new and innovative solutions in the field of space as well as the development of smart applications in agriculture. Based on the above, the company aims to develop services and products that cover new and existing markets, which are adapted to the needs of end users and that support the adoption of new practices to reduce environmental footprint and increase sustainability.
