Thanks to EU_ProjectDIVA our company TERRA SPATIUM SA has been awarded a new feasibility study and evaluation project, named miBeez, where we will have the opportunity to develop the miBeez project which is a Precision Apiculture System & Service to assist sustainable beekeeping by applying best practices.
The main goal of the project aims to demonstrate the operational capabilities of miBeez in real conditions. miBeez integrates a beekeeping management module, a beehive monitoring module using sensors and a decision support module that provides advice and warnings to the producer. These three aspects are provided by relevant miBeez service modules responding to emerging beekeepers’ challenges and problems. miBeez is an integrated toolbox that could be used during all beekeeping activities to help beekeepers manage production, monitor colonies and get advice for optimal decision making, in order to improve quantity and quality of apiculture products, as well as reducing time, cost and efforts. It facilitates the decision making by informing in real time for critical situations, possible causes and mitigation actions. Thus, DSS, based on scientific facts and user requirements, has embedded rules applied in sensors’ data, in order to inform users for critical conditions.
