D-BOX (Demining tool-BOX)
Demining tool-BOX for humanitarian clearing of large scale areas from anti-personnel landmines and cluster munitions.
D-BOX tackles the burning issue of anti-personal landmines and cluster munitions remaining from armed conflicts. It will provide Demining stakeholders with innovative, “easy to use” and low cost solutions interfaced and/or integrated in a comprehensive toolbox.
This “smart” Toolbox could be used during all demining activities to help operators and end users chose the most suitable answer for optimal planning and preparation to low cost, safe and “easy to use” tools for specific tasks during different steps of the demining activities adapted for varying scenarios and conditions.
The D-BOX project is supported by the European Commission through the Security Research programme under the FP7.
